One World Poetry Night

Poetry is a way to express yourself. It’s a chance to use words and languages in a creative, meaningful way. Poetry can be courageous, political, serious, melancholy, heartfelt, or inspirational. It can mean a lot; a few words can conjure a thousand images that flow off the page like an ocean with no end in sight – It can change the world.

ONE WORLD POETRY means poetry from a world outlook. People with a diasporically-centered and international background, intersectional perspective, or marginalized experienced people due to gender identity, sexual desires, body, religion, abilities, age, social status or more have other views and other experiences. Their poems can speak a different, new and reflective language. Our artists are storyteller, poetess, hip-hop-artists, spoken word performer, lyricer, rhymer etc.

So, if you want to listen to poets from every corner of the world and reality, mixed up with drinks and soul snacks in a family atmosphere you shouldn’t miss that event.

Host and supporting act at every poetry night:
Lahya (Stefanie-Lahya Aukongo, Namibia), poet, author, singer and activist.

Poets and spoken word artists, who want to share and perform their words here in Berlin, please send a pm: Lahya – Stefanie-Lahya Aukongo
